Important Deadline Information:
Illinois Extends
Medicaid Attestation Deadline to
April 30, 2017
The deadline for Providers to attest in the Illinois
Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program for the
2016 program year has been extended to April 30, 2017.
The April 30, 2017 extension applies only to eligible providers who
have registered for the program at the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS) website
by the March 13, 2017 registration deadline for the Medicare/Medicaid
EHR Incentive programs, but have not yet attested
to the Illinois Medicaid EHR Incentive Program for the 2016 program
year.
Please note, that first-time
participants must register with CMS by March 13,
2017, in order to begin participation in the EHR Incentive program.
First-time participants who miss the March 13 deadline, will not be
able to begin participation, as 2016 was the last year to begin
participation.
MEDICARE PROVIDERS:
The attestation deadline for providers participating in the Medicare
EHR Incentive Program is Monday, March 13, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. ET.,
in order to avoid a 2018 payment adjustment. The EHR reporting period
was any continuous 90 days between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2016.
