At the Forefront of Healthcare Transformation!  March 6, 2017 Deadline to Register First-Time Medicaid Participants  is March 13, 2017       First-time participants in the Illinois Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program must register with CMS by March 13, 2017, in order to begin participation in the EHR Incentive program. First-time participants who miss the March 13 deadline, will not be able to begin participation, as 2016 was the last year to begin participation. If you need assistance with registering your new participants, please contact us at info@ILHITREC.org.    Illinois Extends Medicaid Attestation Deadline to April 30, 2017      The deadline for Providers to attest in the Illinois Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program for the 2016 program year has been extended to April 30, 2017.   The April 30, 2017 extension applies only to eligible providers who have registered for the program at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website by the March 13, 2017 registration deadline for the Medicare/Medicaid EHR Incentive programs, but have not yet attested to the Illinois Medicaid EHR Incentive Program for the 2016 program year. The EHR reporting period was any continuous 90 days between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2016. eCQM Submission Deadline Extended to March 13, 2017 for CY 2016 Reporting Period CY 2016 eCQM Reporting The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is notifying eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and/or the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs of a deadline extension. The extension is for the submission of electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM) data for the Calendar Year (CY) 2016 reporting period, pertaining to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 payment determination. The deadline has been changed from Tuesday, February 28, 2017, to Monday, March 13, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. PT. This extension is being granted to provide hospitals additional time to submit eCQM data.
