Provider Notice issued 07/11/16

IMPACT New Rendering/Servicing Providers

To:Participating Medical Assistance Providers
Date:July 11, 2016
Re:IMPACT New Rendering/Servicing Providers

To reiterate, as previously stated in past provider notices, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has extended the due date for revalidating all Medicaid providers’ enrollments to September 24, 2016. As providers continue to submit revalidations, staff are reviewing and approving them as quickly as possible.

Facility/ Agency/Organizations (FAOs) revalidations must be submitted in IMPACT by July 31, 2016. All other provider revalidations must be submitted in IMPACT by August 31, 2016.  The Department has established these suggested due dates to ensure that all providers are able to not only complete their applications in IMPACT, but to also have them approved before the September 24, 2016 deadline.

Once the revalidation process has been completed, new rendering/servicing providers will be required to enroll in IMPACT.  New rendering/servicing providers are those that have not been previously required to enroll as a provider with Illinois Medicaid, such as emergency medical technicians, non-emergency dispatchers, drivers, homemakers, etc. This phase of the enrollment process will begin after October 1, 2016.

The Department will notify providers when these types of rendering/servicing providers need to begin the enrollment process in IMPACT.  This information will be sent out via provider notice and will also be posted on the IMPACT website.  Enrollments will be phased in by the provider type and specialty, so that providers are able to manage all of their enrollments in a timely manner.
