Re: | Family Health Plan (FHP) Program - Central Illinois Region Temporary Suspension of Mandatory Managed Care |
This notice informs providers that as of December 1, 2016, the Department is temporarily suspending mandatory managed care enrollment into the Family Health Plan (FHP) program in the Central Illinois Region. These affected counties include Champaign, Christian, DeWitt, Ford, Logan, Macon, Menard, Piatt, Sangamon and Vermilion.
Individuals currently enrolled with Molina Health Plan will remain enrolled with the Managed Care Organization (MCO) for their care coordination services at this time and will continue to use their Molina member ID cards to access services. Individuals who are currently enrolled with Health Alliance Connect (HAC) will be dis-enrolled from the health plan on December 31, 2016. A provider notice was issued on October 27, 2016 regarding HACs withdrawal from the Medicaid Managed Care Program. In addition, the Client Enrollment Broker will temporarily suspend mailing FHP enrollment packets to newly eligible individuals in these counties.
People who become newly eligible and individuals who are dis-enrolled from Health Alliance Connect as of December 31, 2016 will be in the regular fee-for-service program and will use their Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) Medical Card to access services. As such, it is imperative that providers always check MEDI to determine if the individual is in fee-for-service or enrolled in an FHP MCO health plan on the date of service. Any individual in fee-for-service that needs assistance in finding a provider should be referred to the Illinois Health Connect helpline at 877-912-1999 (TTY: 1-866-565-8577).
General information regarding Medicaid Managed Care is on the Department’s website. Questions regarding this notice may be directed to the Department’s Bureau of Managed Care at 217-524-7478.
