Participate in the ILPMP Registry
ILHITREC encourages practices to sign up for the intent
to participate in the ILPMP registry with the State of Illinois. It
is free and will satisfy the specialized registry measure for MIPS
and for 2017 Medicaid Meaningful Use. The registration needs to
be completed within 60 days after the start of the EHR reporting
period to count toward these measures. So, if you are planning to use
the first 90 days of 2017, this would need to be done by the end of
February, 2017. The intent of this registry is that it will be
bi-directional by 2018 and start receiving information from practices
mid-year 2017.
ILHITREC's Clinical Informatics Specialists advise that this could be
used in place of logging in to the state website for every patient to
confirm they are not getting controlled drugs from multiple
providers.

Are Your Clinicians & Care
Coordinators
Experiencing the HIE Advantage? Join
our Webinar!
ILHITREC and Central Illinois Health Information Exchange
invite you to join us for a webinar entitled "Are Your
Clinicians & Care Coordinators Experiencing the HIE
Advantage?" on Tuesday, Feb 28, 2017, from 10-11 AM (CST).
A $2.1 million federal grant has dramatically expanded
the type of health information exchange services available to ANY
hospital or clinic in Illinois... at no charge to you. The
expansion allows CIHIE to provide real-time alerts when patients are
admitted, discharged or experience an emergency visit at
participating hospitals.
Why This
Matters:
* Your care team can act with greater efficiency if they know in
real-time when a critical event has occurred.
* You have a better chance of meeting quality metrics required by ACO
or bundled payment arrangements.
* You can get immediate benefit from HIE participation as alerts can
begin on the same day you subscribe.
* You can quickly recognize trends to help you improve your care
coordination processes.
What You Will
Learn: The goals of the
grant-funded initiative; The plan for continued expansion; The
results already experienced by the early adopters; and The
requirements to participate
After
registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing
information about joining the webinar.
